Introduction to CIVIL 3D

This course seeks to give the student a strong and structured base of Civil3D software, starting from a basic level. Through practical exercises with real application in BIM projects, the student will get to know the creation tools of the different intelligent elements that the program offers, in addition to the different editing tools, representation and labeling styles and, finally, the extraction and presentation of the information of the generated 3D model.

A meticulous order is proposed at the time of modeling since the BIM environment is a collaborative environment where a model will be used as a basis for other members of the work team.

For this reason, throughout the 11 units proposed, the student will follow a  structured method for creating a 3D model of infrastructures that will allow data extraction in an efficient way.

Instructor:

Carlos Aquise | Civil and Territorial Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Madrid with great technical preparation adapted to new technologies. | Master’s degree in BIM Management specialized in Civil Engineering and Linear Works, Autodesk Official. | Autodesk Official course as BIM Expert with Civil 3D and Infraworks. | Full proficiency in Spanish and English (C2 Proficiency in English by the University of Cambridge) and intermediate level of French and Italian.

During the last 7 years he has focused his career on the studying and teaching of the different Autodesk programs with a clear specialization and more than 15,000 hours in Civil 3D and Infraworks. However, he has advanced knowledge of other programs such as Revit, 3ds MAX or Navisworks.

Currently, he develops his professional activity as BIM Manager in an international company focused on Renewable Energies, designing and projecting wind farms and photovoltaic parks, among others, in different parts of the world.
